Protecting your survey from bot responses
If your survey is receiving suspicious or automated responses, use a combination of the following measures:
1. Use the isbot variable
Unipark automatically sets a variable called isbot for suspected bot responses. Add a data filter to exclude cases where isbot = 1 from your analysis.
2. Enable IP/cookie participation lock
In Projekteigenschaften → Teilnahmeverhalten, enable "Eine Teilnahme pro IP / Cookie". This limits each IP address or browser to one response.
3. Enable reCAPTCHA (if available on your license)
Go to Projekteigenschaften → Erweiterte Einstellungen and look for the CAPTCHA option. This may not be available on all license tiers.
4. Temporarily restrict the survey link
If you are experiencing an active bot flood, consider pausing the public survey link and distributing via a closed email invite list instead.
If the problem persists, contact support with your project ID and a description of the bot pattern you are seeing.
