Tier 1 vs. Tier 2 accounts explained
Tier 1 — License Owner / Admin
The Tier 1 account is the primary account holder who purchased the Unipark license. This person:
- Has full administrative access to the organization's Unipark installation
- Can create and manage Tier 2 user accounts
- Is the only one who can contact Unipark Support directly
- Is responsible for license renewal and billing
Tier 2 — Team Member
Tier 2 users are accounts created by the Tier 1 admin. They:
- Work within the organization's Unipark account
- Cannot contact Unipark central support directly — they must go through their Tier 1 admin
- Have access to projects as defined by the Tier 1 admin
Why does this matter?
If you are a Tier 2 user with a problem, your first step is always to contact your organization's admin (the Tier 1 holder). They can resolve most issues, or escalate to Unipark Support on your behalf.
Not sure which tier you are? Check with whoever set up your account. If you purchased the license yourself, you are Tier 1.
